Terms and Conditions

1. General

By booking an appointment with Hair by Claudia, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are in place to protect both the client and the business and ensure a professional, safe and respectful experience for all.

2. Appointments & Bookings

All appointments must be booked in advance. Booking an appointment constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the correct service is selected at the time of booking. If you are unsure, please contact the salon prior to your appointment for guidance.

3. Pricing & Payments

All prices are listed as starting from and may vary depending on hair length, thickness, condition, time required and product usage.
Payment is required in full on the day of service. Prices are subject to change without notice.

4. Deposits

Deposits may be required for certain services, including but not limited to wedding and group bookings.
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated in writing.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours may incur a fee.
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment (no-show) may result in refusal of future bookings or a non-refundable deposit being required for all future appointments.

6. Wedding & Event Services

Wedding and event styling bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the date.
The remaining balance must be paid 7 days prior to the event date.
Cancellations or changes within 14 days of the event may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
A minimum booking requirement applies to wedding and event services.

7. Consultation & Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for disclosing their full hair history, including previous colour, chemical treatments, box dyes, keratin treatments, medications, medical conditions, pregnancy or allergies.
Failure to disclose relevant information may affect the outcome of services, and Hair by Claudia will not be held liable for results impacted by undisclosed information.

8. Results & Expectations

While every effort is made to achieve desired results, outcomes can vary due to hair history, condition and natural characteristics.
Inspiration images are used as a guide only and do not guarantee identical results.

9. Adjustments & Australian Consumer Law

In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if a service is not provided with due care and skill.
Refunds are not provided for change of mind.
If you have concerns with your service, you must notify the salon within 7 days of your appointment to allow an opportunity for assessment and adjustment where appropriate.

10. Health & Safety

Clients must notify the salon if they are feeling unwell prior to their appointment.
The salon reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a service if it is deemed unsafe for the client or stylist.

11. Home-Based Salon & Conduct

The salon operates from a private residence and is a professional business. Clients must respect the property, privacy of the household and follow any signage or instructions.
Disruptive, disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in refusal of service or future bookings.

12. Children & Guests

Children and additional guests are not preferred at appointments unless approved in advance. The salon accepts no responsibility for the supervision or safety of children on the premises.

13. Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. Hair by Claudia accepts no liability for loss or damage to personal items.

14. Photography & Marketing

Photographs or videos may be taken during appointments for promotional or marketing purposes. By attending an appointment, clients consent to this unless they advise otherwise prior to their service.

15. Right to Refuse Service

The salon reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for reasons including, but not limited to, health and safety concerns, breach of these Terms & Conditions, or inappropriate behaviour.
